After months of planning, preparation and training, on the 18th June we left Epsom to cycle 807 miles to Cerbere in the south of France. The cycling was brilliant but challenging taking in some steep climbs crossing the Massif Central, flirting with the Pyrenees, before ending at Cerbere on the border between France and Spain in Catalonia.

Setting priorities
I've set myself a 'to do' list of more than twenty tasks today - ranging from cutting the lawn to shampooing the dog. All vital at this stage. It's hard to know where to start, so I've invited James(my son) to a prioritisation and risk management seminar in the dining room at 9am. He's tentative at the moment but I just know that if we get this straight we'll be absolutely clear on our priorities with a proper action plan fully established as early as 5pm. You see, the skills we acquire at work really can be useful at home as well! Right, time for a cup of tea before anything else.
