Jour deux

After leaving the salubrious environs of the Hotel Le Saumon we took a circuitous route to exit Vernueil. A small town of some architectural note prompted Tim K. I think it was, to note how 'good it was was to see that the art of the stone mason was still alive'. Very cultured Tim.
The remainder of the day was characterised by flatish agricultural land with enough dips and inclines here and there to keep us interested. The strong tailwind saw us divide into groups some averaging over 20mph for long distances. The roads were just brilliant, great surfaces, straight, virtually no traffic - it was Sunday too. Up front, the Captain, two Matts and Tom were soaring away. James returned to the saddle today and done the full 80+ miles which was great to see.
Matt P remarked that he was so impressed by France that he has immediately going to move there. Over and out.
